Corral, July 2023. A few days ago, an important group of executives from the Japanese paper mill Daio Paper, together with its forestry subsidiary in Chile, Anchile, visited the facilities of Portuaria Corral in the Los Ríos Region.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about the operations and functioning of the entire logistics chain of the terminal, which specializes in the movement of forestry cargo, whose main destination is the Asian continent.
"The port has maintained a steady growth over the last decade, and along with this, we have deployed significant investments that allow us to deliver a service according to the needs of our customers. These visits are very relevant for our terminal, as they allow us to know in detail our processes and improvements, and thus continue developing a joint work", said the general manager of Portuaria Corral, Diego Sprenger.
The executive highlighted the terminal's forestry vocation and the importance of this industry for the development of the region and the country. "The entire Portuaria Corral team is committed to serving foreign trade and we are proud to connect the work of the forestry industry and so many workers with the world," he added.
The guests visited the wood chipping plant located in Valdivia, reviewed the river route that connects Valdivia with Corral, and ended the visit at the terminal.
