SERVICES

Portuaria Corral, together with its associated companies, offers
Docking and Storage

Our port is intended for the docking of ships and cargo services.
In addition, it performs storage tasks.
Valdivia has 3 hectares for chip storage and 6 hectares for wood storage and loading.
Corral has 4 hectares of wood chip storage.

SPLINTERS

We perform reception, storage and feeding tasks in the management of the wood yard, along with the mechanized storage of wood chips, loading, stowing and trimming.

Transfer, Transport and Towing

We offer wood chip transport (Valdivia-Corral), log transport, and tugboat service.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The main infrastructure consists of a pier parallel to the coast, 146 meters long and 14 meters wide, and a multipurpose access bridge 55 meters long and 6 meters wide. Its design allows for the berthing of Panamax-type vessels with a length of 229 meters, a gross tonnage of 70,000, and a maximum authorized draft of 12.20 meters. A key feature is the mechanized system for transferring solid bulk cargo using conveyor belts with a nominal capacity of 800 metric tons per hour. The berth is located at Punta Chorocamayo, Corral Bay, Los Lagos Region, Chile. Latitude: 39° 52′ 28″ S Longitude: 73° 21′ 12″ W.

Tie-down and fender system

 

The dock has 9 bollards, 4 of 100 tons and 5 of 50 tons capacity, 9 Seibu brand fenders (4; 1150 HX 1150 LK3 and 5; 800 HX 800 L) and 3 buoys, 2 of 150 tons, located to the north and south respectively and the third of 75 tons to the east with respect to the berthing front.

Portuaria Corral has 74,500 m2 of storage yards distributed in three zones, areas mainly intended for storage of wood chips, fractional cargo and containers.
