WOOD CHIPPLANT Y
CHIPPING
ACOPIO

(VALDIVIA)

Portuaria Corral generates high quality wood chips, according to the needs of customers and the market.
For this purpose, the company has a chipping plant where it processes debarked Eucalyptus wood, mainly Nitens and Globulus.

Wood is supplied in trucks from customers' properties located between the Araucanía Region and the Los Lagos Region.
The wood can be sent directly to the chipping process or previously stockpiled in log yards.

The resulting wood chips are stored in a 75,000-ton storage yard and then transported by sea to the port of Corral.
The process generates a minor percentage of by-products such as fine wood chips, which are mainly marketed as biomass.
