Design of the Dome with regional colors and belonging to the region.

The result was clear: the Montes proposal became the one chosen to give the Dome its chromatic identity.

For months we worked alongside Elisa Cordero, a designer and professor at UACh, who developed a palette of 208 colors inspired by our region. From this chromatic universe, four design proposals for the Dome were defined and then shared with the community for their selection.

The alternatives were:

  • Juncos Wetlands : inspired by the tones of the reeds, the sand of Corral beach and the flagstone, so characteristic of the area.

  • Brilliant Wetlands : based on the humid landscapes and their chromatic richness, with the greens of the Paillaco meadow, the Lingue River, the blue of the Chaiguhuín sky and the white of the Andesite rock.

  • Rivers of the Region : This project sought to highlight the strength and diversity of the waterways, featuring the green of the Fuy River, the green of the ocean at Los Molinos beach, and the deep blue of Lake Neltume. This proposal had two versions: one horizontal and one vertical.

  • Montes : inspired by the layers of the mountain landscape, uniting the green of the Luma leaf with the blues of the Panguipulli, Neltume and Pullinque lakes.

The designs were presented in December 2024 at an open event held at Casa Prochelle. There, after viewing the expert's presentation, the community voted for their favorite option. The result was clear: Montes' proposal was chosen to give the Dome its color scheme.
