With a turnout that thrilled everyone, the first environmental championship took place. Players, family members, and a large part of the collaborators from the port of Corraleño were present to enjoy a day of sport, fun, and awareness.

“During Environment Month, we wanted to take advantage of this sporting event to promote our commitment to environmental stewardship and clean production in our operations,” highlighted Diego Sprenger, General Manager of Portuaria Corral.

For the event, the terminal decided to suspend operations for 24 hours and symbolically generate zero emissions. In addition, for every player who participated, the port gave away a native tree to raise awareness of the consequences of climate change both nationally and internationally.

Regarding the event, the manager stated, “It fills us with joy to see practically all of our employees sharing in such a positive context as sports and caring for the planet. We will certainly continue to create these spaces that generate well-being for all of us.”
