Portuaria Corral signs promise of donation to transfer land to Fundación por el Medioambiente
Community seeks to promote cultural projects for the benefit of all neighbors, who will have a new meeting space.

Portuaria Corral has already signed a cultural donation pledge for the Corral Bajo land, another milestone for the recently established Foundation for the Defense of the Environment by the Municipality of Corral.
In this way, the agreements between the community and the port continue to materialize, the first milestone of which was the end of the use of this land for chip storage.
"This signature only confirms the work we have been doing with the community of Corral for five years. We are very pleased that the objectives we set when we began this process are being achieved, and we have no doubt that the people of Corral will make the best use of the donated land", said Diego Sprenger, general manager of Portuaria Corral.
For the president of the Fundación para la Defensa del Medioambiente Corral, Leticia Slater, "this is a great day for the people of Corral, and we thank all those who supported us from the beginning. Now we have the responsibility to make the best use of this space, which is so important for the commune".
He also emphasized that "this is thanks to the unity of the people of Corral and the willingness of Portuaria Corral to dialogue and engage with the community of Corral as a whole".
Among the projects to be carried out on the Corral Bajo land are a traditional fair, the Rescue of the Mapuche Huilliche identity in Corral, a Museum of the Port History of Corral Bajo, a Cultural Center and an Interactive Fair, which does not exclude other cultural projects that may arise in the future.
