Portuaria Corral incorporates extraordinary preventive and sanitary measures to minimize possible Coronavirus infections
Portuaria Corral has implemented measures such as cleaning and sanitization of high traffic areas and machinery, teleworking for office workers, preventive temperature controls, hand cleaning and alcohol gel stations, as well as the incorporation of two doctors specialized in epidemiology and occupational health.

In response to the COVID-19 emergency, the port of Los Ríos implemented special measures in addition to the recommendations indicated by the health authorities.
Diego Sprenger, general manager of Portuaria Corral, explained that "we have implemented and reinforced a series of measures such as cleaning and sanitization of high traffic areas and machinery, teleworking for our office workers, preventive temperature controls, hand cleaning stations and alcohol gel, among others".
The different actions incorporated by the port terminal are part of a protocol that seeks to minimize the possibilities of contagion and to react in the event that any worker tests positive for the coronavirus. In the same line, Portuaria Corral incorporated two doctors specialized in epidemiology and occupational health to contain and train all workers during the pandemic period.
"We have defined the risk groups within the organization, who were preventively sent home to maintain isolation, we have also deepened our communications, in order to take care of the health and welfare of workers, explained Sprenger.
To date, the port industry in Chile has continued its operations with the objective of maintaining the national logistics and supply chain, and in this line the manager of Portuaria Corral emphasized that "the commitment and responsibility of our workers has been constant, this is a recognition for them and their commitment to the country".
