In a ceremony that brought together authorities of the Los Ríos region and businessmen of the area, the Institute of Safety and Labor (IST) held an award ceremony to highlight the companies that excelled in the area of risk prevention and worker care during the past year.

On the occasion, the general manager of Portuaria Corral, Diego Sprenger, was the main recipient of the executive career award, due to a performance of less than 3% accident rate and below the national average indicated by the Seremi de Salud.

"It is a source of pride for Portuaria Corral and its associated companies to achieve these indexes as they reflect the total commitment with the care of our workers", highlighted Sprenger. In the same vein, he added that "2019 was a good year in this matter, even so, we are convinced that we can continue to improve if we keep the collaborator at the center of our operations".

It should be noted that Servicios Portuarios Reloncaví, part of the companies associated with Portuaria Corral, also received a distinction for Excellence 2019 at its San José de la Mariquina site, in the category between 26-100 workers.
