Portuaria Corral achieved a record and transferred 1,240,000 tons in 2019
SUSTAINED GROWTH.
Terminal served 22 vessels last year.

Portuaria Corral achieved a new record in the transfer of chips, totaling 1 million 242 thousand 651 metric tons, which translates into an increase of 13.5% over 2018. This record -indicated from the Port- shows the sustained growth that the port terminal has achieved since 2016, to which is added the 20% increase in daily river transfer (Valdivia-Corral). The general manager of Portuaria Corral, Diego Sprenger, said that 'we are proud once again, of the work of all our team.
This is a reflection of the constant effort to improve our management and modernize the terminal, which has allowed us, in recent years, to have growth peaks, double our cargoes, accelerate river transport and also have more capacity in our port'.
During 2019, the terminal served 22 vessels, surpassing the 19 of the previous year. 'These positive results were achieved thanks to the commitment of all those who work at Portuaria Corral and also to the incorporation of two new barges, an investment that was fundamental to optimize the transport processes', detailed Sprenger. He added that the focus for 2020 will be to continue projecting itself as a relevant actor for the development of the commune and a key player in the forestry industry. The company will also continue to work to maintain its safety standards and its commitment to care for the environment, he said.
