Portuaria Corral performs the first night undocking in its history

The port of Corral experienced a milestone, carrying out its first-ever nighttime undocking maneuver. The Corral Port Authority bid farewell to the chip carrier Princess Pacific, which had arrived from China and set sail for Japan.
The general manager of Portuaria Corral, Diego Sprenger, highlighted that “this step will allow us to reduce the waiting time for ships. In this case, we brought forward the ship's departure by twelve hours, which translates into better service and efficiency for our clients.”
To mark this milestone, signage was updated and new lighting, necessary for this type of nighttime work, was installed. The departure is a step in the process of developing a new port maneuverability study, which aims to increase efficiency and allow for this type of work to be carried out regularly in the future.
More than 27 employees worked per shift, loading approximately 48,000 metric tons of wood chips. This achievement adds to the record set by Portuaria Corral earlier this year when it serviced the Acacia, the largest vessel in the terminal's history.
